ORT Canada is a fundraising organization that supports educational projects and raises money for global World ORT programs. It has raised millions of dollars for ORT projects in Israel.
Its funding fortifies ORT schools, strengthens educational programs with leading-edge technology, enhances the teaching experience for educators, and ensures the next generation has a solid foundation for the demands of an increasingly high-tech society.
ORT Canada is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and managed by a professional staff operating out of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, and it runs fundraising campaigns and events nationwide.
Russia
Russia is the birthplace of ORT. The organization was founded in 1880 in St. Petersburg to provide Russian Jews with employable skills as a way out of poverty.
Czech Republic
Since 2005, ORT has partnered with the Lauder School of Prague, the ethos of which is to establish a warm and communal atmosphere.
Kyrgyzstan
The ORT Pri Etz Chaim School in Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek, caters to more than 110 students of elementary through to high school age.
