ORT in Belarus

Operational Organisation

ORT is currently active in Belarus through its two KesherNet centres, located outside the country’s capital, Minsk.

More than 1 300 people, mainly women, receive vocational training at the centres in Gomel and in Polotsk. A wide range of computer training courses provide support to unemployed women, disabled people and the elderly, as well as younger students. Other courses provide skills and guidance for job searching and employability, as well as basic training in the use of modern means of communication. The courses have helped hundreds of people find jobs.
