ORT students from around the world, conducting cutting-edge scientific research projects
A three-week excellence summer program for ORT students from around the world to spend time at a prestigious academic institute in Israel, conducting cutting-edge scientific research projects alongside academic experts.
Twenty students, from ORT institutions across the world, will participate in the Summer School. The programme is designed for students who have one more remaining year of their school studies. It aims to inspire and motivate students to realise their full potential in their scientific studies in their final year at school.
The summer school presents a unique opportunity for students to undertake undergraduate-level scientific research in a university environment. Students will work in small groups on their own research projects selected from cutting-edge topics in the fields of biochemistry, biology, chemistry, mathematical and computer sciences and physics – under the supervision of Weizmann Institute instructors and in fully-equipped laboratories.
The itinerary will also include high-level lectures and workshops on a variety of scientific subjects, discussion of topical ethical issues, meetings with successful technological and scientific entrepreneurs, and a full programme of touring at the weekends (to Jerusalem and to the Negev). At the end of the programme, students will write a scientific report and make an oral presentation of their research findings.
