World ORT is delighted to welcome Adam Overlander-Kaye as the new Chief Executive of ORT UK.
Adam succeeds Dan Green, who is now our own Chief Operating Officer, and brings to the ORT family a wealth of experience in both fundraising and education. For the past six years he has been Director of Fundraising at Reform Judaism but before that he was Fundraising Manager at UJIA, one of the UK’s largest Jewish charitable organisations.
He has a Masters in Jewish History from the University of Birmingham but also took a Certificate in Professional Jewish Leadership at Brandeis University in the US. He is a governor of a Jewish primary school in London and is a regular presenter and educator at Limmud.
“ORT UK does profoundly important work in giving young people the hope of a better future. I am proud to be given the opportunity to develop existing relationships and create new ones that will build on ORT’s historic mission and to work with such a fantastic professional and voluntary team,” Adam said.
ORT UK Chairman Simon Alberga said: “Adam’s track record in professional Jewish community leadership and his fundraising success with individuals, trusts and foundations and corporate donors made him an outstanding choice to be our new chief executive. He joins ORT UK at an exciting time in our development, following the appointment of six new trustees at the end of 2015. The board and the professional staff very much look forward to working with Adam in growing our donor base and increasing the profile of a charity that transforms lives through education and training.
“I should also like to thank Dan Green for his contribution over three years that saw ORT UK grow and thrive. We are delighted that Dan is still part of the ORT family.”
