Finance Assistant

LOCATION: London

ORT is seeking an organised, methodical full time Finance Assistant who has bookkeeping experience to take responsibility for its income processing activities and to support the monthly management accounts process as well as other Finance tasks within the Finance team.
You will be a key point of contact, liaising with internal colleagues as well as external organisations and official bodies handling varied queries. The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail alongside analytical and numerical skills. You will be responsible for contributing to the effective running of the finance function.

Duties will include processing and tracking invoices, maintaining records of all financial information including credit card expenditure and petty cash, recording all payments and receipts, and tracking bank deposits and reconciling bank statements. You will maintain control by entering transactions into the finance system and assisting with the processing of invoices, expenses, receipts, credit card payments and more.

Essential skills

• A good understanding of financial systems and processes is essential for this role as will be the ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of people with confidence and personal authority.
• Strong organisational skills, a good eye for detail and a proven track record.
• An enthusiasm for and understanding of, working in a small team but also able to work on their own initiative and to prioritise tasks.
• The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a pressured environment.
• A general understanding of VAT

Desirable skills

• Ideally you will have knowledge and working experience of Sunsystems.
• Studying for a professional accountancy qualification

Graphic Design Intern

As part of your internship, we would expect to be able to provide you with work
experience in the Global Jewish not-for-profit sector within a marketing and
communications setting and anticipate that you will be able to stay with us over a six
month period which would allow you and World ORT to gain the most out of this
experience.

You will be joining ORT at an exciting time as we have recently rebranded. Your
internship will contribute in implementing and building a strong brand.
Our expectations of your time would be to assist in creating visuals for web and print
to help promote ORT around the world. Design work, including booklets, event
invitations, visuals for social media and more.

Social Media Marketing Intern

As part of your internship, we would expect to be able to provide you with work
experience in the Global Jewish not-for-profit sector within a marketing and
