ORT Braude College Graduation Ceremony 2004

10 June 2004 Some 370 ORT students received engineering degrees yesterday, 9th June 2004, at the annual graduation ceremony at ORT Braude College of Engineering in Karmiel, Israel. During the ceremony 6 students received Presidential Scholar Distinction Awards from ORT Braude President, Dr. Shmaryahu Rozner; and Jacqueline Levine, Director of the Centre for Study Abroad at the University of Rochester with which ORT Braude has been in cooperation for academic study abroad. An additional 51 students received degrees with distinction from the department heads. Professor Moty Heiblum, Chairman of the Colleges Board of Directors and Director of the Centre for Submicron Electronics at the Weizmann Institute of Science, was keynote speaker at the ceremony. Mechanical Engineering graduate receives Departmental Award from Professor Ehud Kroll, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Software Engineering graduate receives Presidential Scholar Award from Dr. Shmaryahu Rozner, President of ORT Braude. The ORT Braude College of Engineering is one of ORT Israels leading educational establishments and the most prominent college of engineering in the Galilee region of Israel. With over 3,500 students, ORT Braude provides the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in technology, and works closely with a number of Israeli biotechnological companies.
