World ORT is the world’s largest Jewish education and vocational training non-governmental organisation.

Started in 1880, World ORT is today operational in 37 countries and helps around 300 000 students around the world. Specialised in technology, our mission is to provide communities wherever they are, with the skills and knowledge necessary to cope with the complexities and uncertainties of their environment.

What is Education?

Education helps people realize their dreams, become who they want to be. Education empowers poorer communities, giving them the opportunity to grow and become self-sufficient. It’s also about sharing and connecting, to learn from each other.

Teams of children at ORT and other schools from across Ukraine and Moldova have been frantically preparing their projects on the opening of a three-day hackathon at the Kiev ORT Educational Complex. The theme of the hackathon is safety in the era of the Internet of Things. Under the guidance of mentors, the 12 teams have spent the day working on a novel solution to a problem which they will then spend the next two days developing – using their skills in programming, design and construction, 3D printing, electronics, and entrepreneurship. On Thursday they’ll present their prototype and business plan to a jury. The programme has been developed by CISCO. ... See MoreSee Less

[ORT Brazil] This school is one of a kind! The kind we hope to send our children to. An ORT school with strong Jewish values, an advanced STEAM curriculum (watch the video to learn more!), international programmes and opportunities – and a great reputation!

The Instituto de Tecnologia ORT in Brazil was ranked Rio de Janeiro’s 13th best school in 2016. And thanks to its high-level education, most of its students enter university with a scholarship.

And just so you Brazilian parents with young kids know, the ‘Instituto de Tecnologia ORT’ welcomes children from grade 6. Feel free to be in touch with them www.ort.org/br before the next school year.
