Argentina

ORT Argentina has more than 10,000 students from primary school through high school to adult education and teacher training facilities across four campuses around Buenos Aires.

The school is regarded as among the best in the country, with its students acquiring qualifications that enable them to find good jobs while pursuing university studies.

Its curriculum places an emphasis on science and technology and underlines the importance of personal and social responsibility.

Senior high school students can choose from nine tracks, including business administration, chemistry and biotechnology, construction and design, and mass media production.

It shares educational materials with all Spanish-speaking ORT schools, developing the same material in different formats, and educational units come with a guide for teachers. In total more than 600 schools and educational institutes have subscribed to this information.

ORT Argentina was created in 1936. It opened its first school in Buenos Aires in 1941 to support the influx of refugees and meet the country’s need for skilled workers. By 1945, it was providing technical courses and apprenticeship training to 150 students.
