The essential guide to World ORT activities worldwide - new for 2009.
In this new and recently published edition of the World ORT Report we have attempted to bring to you a representative collection of the activities of World ORT and ORT National Organizations in Israel and throughout the world from 2007-2008. Our activities are on-going and our most recent activities can be found in our news updates.
World ORT launched in 2007, a NIS 32 million ($7.4 million) Science and Technology programme for Israeli high schools to be run in conjunction with the country’s Ministry of Education. Called Kadima Mada (Science Journey), the programme was launched in more than 30 municipalities throughout Israel.
Since its inception and continuing into this year, our Kadima Mada programme has been going from strength to strength and continues to improve the lives of thousands of Israeli students and teachers. Major new initiatives include a multi-million dollar programme for the installation of 1000 interactive classrooms ‘Smart Classes’ throughout Israel, the building of Science City in Kiryat Yam, and the launch of a fundraising campaign to build a new campus for Shaar HaNegev School in the south of Israel.
This highly successful programme marks a new phase in World ORT’s 59-year-long commitment to bring the best practical education available to the Jewish State.
Watch how World ORT's Kadima Mada programme is making a difference to the lives of students and teachers in Israel.
